Coasters and Park Pictures 2007

Well another Year has gone, and another begins "Welcome to the 2007 Coaster Season" What a year 2006 was for the UK, We had Stealth at Thorpe,Speed at Oakwood,Cobra at Paultons, and Kumali at Flamingoland being 4 of the biggest highlights of last year, So What do we have to look forward too this year, Well Sadly not much I'm afriad, and it looking rather a poor year for the UK this time around, but still I dont think we can complain too much when we have had 2 excellent previous years(05 and 06), and hopefully it wont matter too much because if all current rumours go to plan, 2008 is ALREADY shaping up to be another massive year, but of course thats another story waiting to happen ;) so what updates can you expect to see later this year

A Report on Rage at Adventure Island, The New Gerstlauer Euro-Fighter

Thorpe Park on the re-birth of the Flying Fish(YES ITS BACK)

Legoland for the New Rapids Ride, and new Vikings Land

BlackPool Pleasure Beach for Infusion,The SLC from Southport which sadly closed forever in 2006.

Another Report from Florida on all the latest new rides and attractions since I last went in 05, the most important new ride being Expedition Everest of course

Back to Holland with the ECC(hopefully) to report on Toverland for the new Woodie, and Duinrell who are also getting a Gerstlauer Euro Fighter(The same model as the one at Adventure Island)

Plus hopefully reports from the usual UK parks such as Alton and Chessington etc, Plus some reports from any new parks I hope to visit in the UK this year.

So As Always,Sit Back,Hold Tight,Relax,and Enjoy the Fun :)

Southend Adventure Island 13/1/07
Lets start off the 2007 season with a quick off season update from Adventure Island down at Southend with a look at Rage, the new Gerstlauer Euro-Fighter which is currently being built, this is the most major new ride for 2007 in the UK, and is sure to be very exciting, weather it will be any better than Speed at Oakwood is hard to tell, but it sure looks like a class ride to me, Take a sneak peek of the ride now, plus a few other shots around the park, and then come back soon for a full update once the ride is up and running

Paultons Park 18/2/07
Lets take another trip to the great kids park that is Paultons, They really put themselves on the map last year with Cobra which has been a great success for the park, and they are looking to continue the success this year with a revamped mini golf course, and a Trekking Tractors Ride for kids,Both of which look great new additions to the park. View an Update of both the new attractions upclose,Plus some more shots of Cobra in Action again

Thorpe Park
We're back at Thorpe Park for the 2007 Season, and a look at whats been happening in the new season. Of Course the Flying Fish makes its big return with a big posh makeover, but is it anygood. There's also a look at what else is new around the park, plus early signs of 2009 coaster construction(at least we think so anyway??) so enjoy watching the Fish back in action, and enjoy the update

Rage at Adventure Island,Southend
We finally make it back to Adventure Island in Southend to check out Rage, the new Gerstlauer Euro-Fighter. This should finally be the ride that will put Adventure Island on the map and give the park a much needed signiture ride, but does it rate above Speed at Oakwood, and more importantly,Is it a good ride anyway?? Find out inside, and View a special picture gallery of the ride operating

Florida Trip(21st to 30th April)
In April, I made a trip back to Florida sinse I last went 2 years ago, There was'nt much new rides to try this time around, but the biggest highlight was certaintly Expedition Everest at Animal Kingdom, but was it any good. I also made it to MGM Studios to finally try out Rock N Roller Coaster, and IOA for the new Seuss Trolley Ride,View Pictures from some of the parks I visited,Plus some reports from others

Alton Towers
We finally take a look at Alton Towers for the 2007 season, and see whats been happening there this year.Alton have been quite busy this year adding a New Mini Golf Course, A New DungHeap Play Area, and a Haunted Hollow attraction which is basiclly an extra path along the old railway lines upto the Duel Area, there is also many other small improvements around the park too. View all the new attractions upclosed,Plus a look at what else has been happening around the park

Wales and Drayton Weekend
We're travelling back to Wales(North Wales this time) to check out the parks up there, and to experience Ocean Beach which will close down at the end of the 2007 season, and to ride the last remaining Wooden Water Chute Ride(It will be a crime to see this demolished) Other Parks I visited were Greenwood Leisure Park,Knightly Fair,Williams Fair(all in North Wales)Wonderland in Nottingham,And Drayton Manor Park,View Pictures and Reports from all parks

Infusion at Blackpool Pleasure Beach
I finally get back upto Blackpool for the first time in 2 years with the ECC, and mainly to try out Infusion(Traumatizer at the former park,Southport)Despite people wanting something different in its place, they've really made a good effort to make it look nice, but does it ride as good as it looks??View a Gallery dedicated to Infusion, and my thoughts afterwards

Viking River Splash Rapids at Legoland UK
After a few construction delays, and missed opening dates, The Viking River Splash Rapids Ride Finally opened to the public on the 18th August, and I managed to go along for the opening weekend,Its a nice looking ride, and it should give the park a much need high capasity ride that the park desperatly needs. However after all this time, Will the ride live up to the hype and deliver on a high, Read my Review and Thoughts inside, Oh and there are picture of the ride too if you wish to view them ;)

Gt Yarmouth/Joyland/Hemsby
We Finally take a trip back to Gt Yarmouth after a 3 year break, this time it was with the ECC, and it proved to be a very good trip with the pleasure beach open till 10PM,and some excellent night riding on the Scenic,I also managed to get to Joyland this time, and get another small coaster credit at Hemsby just up the coast from Gt Yarmouth

Pleasurewood Hills
Again I havent been to Pleasurewood Hills for 3 years, so it would be nice to go back for another visit,Its worth a visit just for Enigma, but this year sees a new coaster at the park in the form of Wipeout which is actually the re-located Boomerang from AA.You will get to see many pictures of the new ride in Action,Plus some various other photos from around the park especially of Enigma.

Knightmare at Camelot
We finally take a look at Knightmare at Camelot, the relocated Schwarzkopf coaster from Japan formally known as BMRX,This is a great move from the park and has delighted many coaster fans especially when the park was rumoured to close a few years ago, but this new ride shows the park will still be here for quite some time yet. Anyway View some Pictures of the ride, and my thoughts afterwards

Holland Trip 20th-23rd September
We finally take a trip back to Holland with the ECC to sample a few new rides that have been buit this year including the very nice looking new Wooden Coaster Troy at Toverland,Plus we would also get to try out Formule X at Drievelt, the new XCar launched Coaster, We also went back to Efteling, and Visited Plopsaland on the way back home.
