So now that 2003 has come to a close, we now concentrate on the 2004 season, There will be new coasters at Alton Towers and Chessington so look out for reports from those parks soon plus many others throughout the season
Adventure Island(Southend) 25/1/04
I first came here back in November 2002, and I thought another visit was needed to kick off the 2004 season. It was another good day at this park with a new coaster credit too,View the pictures above including many of the new coaster
Thorpe Park (21/3/04)
Its back to Thorpe Park to start the 2004 Season with a bang, and it was a pretty good day with very low crowds indeed which means I got a lot of ride credits on the day, Their new ride is Samurai which is from Chessington which replaced Calgary Stampede so check out pictures of that plus other various pictures of all the park improvements that have happened around the place
Chessington World of Adventures (27/3/04)
It was back to Chessington for opening day to try out their new Coaster called Dragons Fury which is a spinning Coaster, I almost didnt get to ride it as they have a lot of problems getting it open, but I finally rode it late in the day. View Lots of pictures of the new coaster and the New Land of the Dragons, plus other general park photos
Paultons Park (28/3/04)
Another Trip to Paultons Park was in order to try out their new 2004 attraction(2 Drop Towers), they also have a new Penguin Elclosure and a new Funhouse will be appearing mid 04. View Pictures of all the new attractions, plus some other general park photos
Alton Towers (4/4/04)
It was time to go back to Alton Towers to try out the new Spinning Coaster Spinball Whizzer, It was a very good ride but I prefer Dragons Fury at Chessington personally, there was also a chance to try out the new revamped logflume too. Queues were not too bad today either but Spinball reached 1-2hrs. View lots of Pictures of Spinball Whizzer and the New Revamped LogFlume plus a few other general park photos
Florida trip (1/5/04 - 7/5/04)
I took a trip back to Florida as I havent been for about 4 years, It was nice to be back and try out plenty of new stuff I havent tryed before like Mission Space at Epcot,Cheetah Chase at BGT and the coasters at Old Town, I also hoped to get a ride on Revenge of the Mummy at Universal but sadly it was closed.View all of the reports at the parks I visited, plus loads of pictures
Chessington World of Adventures (29/5/04)
Another trip to Chessington was in order because Dragons Fury was reported to be finally back up and running after nearly 2 months of downtime. It was a pretty good day and the low crowds reflected this too, View Pictures of Dragons Fury operating again plus a few other photos around the park
Alton Towers/Drayton Manor Park(19/6/04-20/6/04)
A Trip to Alton Towers and Drayton Manor Park with the ECC, A very good weekend with an ERS on Nemmy and Spinball at Alton, and an ERS on Apocolypse at Drayton. Not Very busy at Alton, but Drayton was really crowded, View Pictures from the weekend above
Gt Yarmouth/Pleasurewood Hills(27/6/04)
Gt Yarmouth was a park I really wanted to visit during 2004 to try out the other Scenic Coaster in England so with a free weekend in sight, It was time for a trip down there. I thought the Scenic was excellent and really worth the trip, I also took a bonus trip to Pleasurewood Hills which is nearby too which was a great little park. It was a great day too with glorious weather and not very big crowds either. View Pictures From Both Parks Above
LegoLand(5/7/04)
With a Day off Work, I thought it would be a great chance to try out the New Jungle Coaster at LegoLand. It proved to be quite a good day with glorious weather, but unfortnutly it also brought rather big crowds too despite it being an off peak day and a Monday which complety suprised me. View Pictures from the Day above including many of the New Coaster
ECC Germany Tour(24/7/04 - 1/8/04)
This would prove to be a mammoth tour of Germany visiting some of the Finest Theme parks in the world and visiting some less well known ones too. It was an excellent trip but a very exausting one too, Not too busy at many parks either despite it being the Holidays over there too. View reports from all parks, plus View loads of Photos too(Over 450,YIKES)
FlamingoLand/Lightwater Valley(21/8/04 - 22/8/04)
This was a trip with the ECC to visit FlamingoLand and Lightwater Valley. FlamingoLand was quite a good park, but its operated to six flags standard which is sad to see. Magnum Force and the Bullet are very good rides though and probably worth the trip alone, Lightwater Valley was the day afterwards, and again operation on the rides were rather poor, but I felt the ultimate was quite good and there are a few other good rides here especailly the Sewer Rat.View Pictures from both parks above.
Southport/Camelot(4/9/04 - 5/9/04)
A double Trip weekend with the ECC to both Southport and Camelot. Southport was good with about 2hrs worth of ERS's and crowds were quite light too throughout the day resulting in many rides. Camelot was the day afterwards with a 1hr ERS on Whirlwind in the morning, again the Park was nice but very suited towards families, however the weather was lovely and crowds were quite low so again we managed to do everything comfortably.
