Joyland Pictures

Welcome to Joyland

Joyland is a small seperate park down the seafront from the Pleasure Beach,Its a supringly good small park with some good rides and some half decent themeing

The View you get when you enter, and as you can see,the themeing is quite good

Now comes a huge debate, Is this a coaster??

because I dont think so, but my friends say it is

Techniclly it shouldnt be, as it seems to mostly be a powered ride, but the last half virtually runs complety on its own without being powered, so its a big debatable issue

I must say, It took me all day to come up with an answer, and

I say NO its not a coaster as it doesnt feel like a complete coaster from start to finish, because of the start of the ride

People will continue to argue it is, People will argue its not, but I am now decided, NO COASTER

You see its from this bit if you can argue its a Coaster, going down that small drop and another one after that, It virtually continues complety on its own to the end without being powered nearly

Well argument over,No Coaster Next

Now I'm pretty sure this is a coaster

The impressive Themeing approaching the station

This Coaster was really good, much better than most I've ridden

The best part was the hidden helix, and any coaster with hidden helix's is a winner in my books

and thats what I like, because if you dont know about it, its a superb suprise when riding

And 2 laps round too, woohoo, seriously on the outside, you think its a small ride, but dont let that decieve you

WOW, Its the worlds only remaining and operating Virginia Reel Ride

I cant believe I am about to ride some history,Its now been here for 57 years so in 2010, it will celebrate its 60th birthday

They have done changes to the ride making it powered in parts, but it still feels just like a coaster

Up the Lift Hill, and some ECC members take a ride

More ECC members take a ride, It was a good little ride, spinning was'nt too extreme, and it felt nice

Kiddie Plane Ride

The Big Wheel

Sorry No Adults allowed on here, One of our members tryed to ride it, and was told the car could collapse if there was too much weight inside,Oh Well

Another Kiddie Ride

Some Weird Car Ride at the bottom of the mountain structure

Another View up the Moutain, and the coaster going by

Bye Joyland, Its been Fun, Lets go up the Pier now

Up the Pier was a Ghost Train, so we gave it a go, It was a bit crap to be honest, but not as worst as some I've been on

Formule1????? Errrr OK then

Kiddie Carousel

SLIDE,Oh wait, I think its closed, it was a bit windy at the end of that pier, they probably close it in high winds for safety reasons

Kiddie Tea Cup Ride

A View down the Beach towards the Pleasure Beach, Can you see the Scenic ;)
Joyland is a wonderful little park, I cant believe I missed it 3 years ago when I last came here,Despite it being a very small place, The rides are all crammed in very well, and even reminds you of Blackpool in a way. Spook Express was a great little ride,as was the Virginia Reel Ride, and the Snails was fun too, but NO its not a coaster, I hope this park survives for a while yet as there has been rumours it could close down in a year or two, but hopefully judging the place on visitor numbers I saw, I dont see how that can happen just yet(well I hope not anyway)
