Wicksteed Park

I last came to Wicksteed Park in 2006, so It was nice to come back to Wicksteed Park for another visit, this time I came with the ECC, and we had a small behind the scenes tour of the Water Chute ride

The Boat splashes down at the bottom seeing it from a rather unique view

Under The Water Chute

This is such a classic ride that I hope it is preserved forever, only 2 rides like this still exist in the UK, and this one is the oldest at 82 years

Its nothing big or fancy, but its the sheer fun factor that makes it so great

The Boat is pulled back upto the station and starts all over again

No day would be complete at Wicksteed without a ride on the Train, I never did this last time I came to Wicksteed but it was an absolute delight

Riding the train, and looking back over the nice park grounds

Carriages for one of the old trains I believe, still preserved very well indeed

Last time I came to Wicksteed, This Coaster was closed so I missed out on the credit

Today though, the coaster was operating so I was able to get a ride,PHEW

An overview of the coaster

Climbing the lift hill

The Coaster is nothing special, but it was nice to get the credit finally

Infact it did feel a little painful in places, but nothing uncomfortable

Going around one of the first banked turns

Down the First Drop

The Lift Hill is quite steep for a Pinfari

Also the Ride operates very strangly with 3 trains,YES 3 Trains, something I didnt think was possible on a small coaster like this, this is a bit weird as throughout isnt really improved as it would with 2 trains

The ride never had a queue all day so I managed a few rides, Overall its not a bad little ride, but its certaintly bashes you a little bit in the middle part, it has a nice ending though
