Wales Weekend Trip

On the Weekend of July 29 and July 30th 2006, I took my first ever visit to Oakwood, and also attempted to visit a few other theme parks along the way too.Oakwood was the main hightlight I was most looking forward too especially for Megafobia and Speed, but what would I think of the park as a whole, and what coaster out of Megafobia and Speed would turn out better??The Other Parks I had on my "list to visit" on the way back were Folly Farm,Coney Beach,Barry Island and Breen Leisure Park.Follow my Crazy 2 Day weekend with Reports and Pictures at all parks

Oakwood Leisure Park(29/7/06)
Oakwood kicks off my 2 day weekend with a full day at the park, which I thought would be the best course of action seeing as this would be my first visit there. I had wanted to visit this park for years but just never found the time. Certaintly 2006 was a good year to start visiting for the new Coaster Speed, and of course it would be great to finally ride Megafobia as well, but What Coaster would be better,What Would I think of Oakwood after waiting years to visit here.View Pictures from my visit, and view some final thoughts on what I thought of the park

Folly Farm(30/7/06)
Folly Farm kicks off my crazy day of 4 parks in 1 day. Now A farm doesnt seem like a place worth visiting, but the park has a massive Indoor Fun Fair which is full of restored old Type Rides,Its really amazing what they've done.View some Quick Pictures of the Fairground section only

Coney Beach(30/7/06)
Coney Beach was the next stop,The Reason for visiting was to sample the rides on offer they have down here and to see if the coasters were any good,They say that MegaBlitz(Their Signiture Coaster if you can call it that) is meant to be awful,Is It???Find Out inside, and View some pictures

Barry Island(30/7/06)
Barry Island was to be the 3rd stop on my action packed day.Barry Island only has the one coaster so that was my main reason to visit here, but of course there would always be a few other rides to check out,Especially Haunted Mine which was one of John Wardley's First Rides he ever worked on.View The Pictures Inside

Brean Leisure Park(30/7/06)
Brean Leisure Park is actually west of Bristol, so its not in Wales, but it was kinda on the way back home so took a quick stop on the way back,This place was certaintly worthy of a visit with 3 coasters on offer,An excellent dark ride, and a few other good selection of rides on offer.View The Pictures Inside
