Thorpe Park(21/3/04) Page 1

Hang on, I didnt know we were at Chessington, I thought we were at Thorpe Park ;)

For anyone that doesnt know whats going on, Samurai moved from Chessington to Thorpe Park for Chessie to appeal more to families, I will actually still miss it at Chessington, but at least it made it to another Tussauds Park for us still to enjoy

Samurai in Action

Samurai hardly had a queue all day, the longest I think it reached was only 10 mins max, but most of the time, it was pretty much walk on

Samurai about to load up with more guests

The Ride has recieved a big refit, and a good clean too because it was sent back to Holland first before it headed straight for Thorpe

The ride seemed to be running on 2 different programs today and one of them has this so called windmill sequence, The ride goes into the position shown, and spins the cars around in a circle while the ride stands still for about 10-15 secs, It really goes down a treat with the guests

In other Park news, Vortex has recieved a nice new painted floor and I think it looks rather nice

The Old Battery must have died on X, because this is a new bit of themeing I believe. The Ride is still rubbish as usual, and it will be such a relief when its gets its re-fit for 2005 which seems to be confirmed now

Tidal Wave has recieved Fasttrack for this year which will be very welcome in the busy summer months, but cant see how it will do much use any other time, Still its good to see more rides using the system

Loggers Leap has also recieved Fasttrack, this will be extremly welcome because the queue can get very lenghty whenever its busy

Pizza Hut has opened up at Thorpe Park which I think will be very popular, There is also a £6.99 offer for unlimited pizza, drinks etc which is quite good value

The Tea Cups have been re-themed and renamed Storm in a Tea-Cup, although its only seems to be the building that got a re-fit, Its still got the same look Tea-Cups
