Thorpe Park Pictures

For 2007, Something is coming back to Thorpe with a big flashy makeover

YES, Its the Flying Fish, back in all its Glory, Well Kinda because it has come with a few changes like Fasttrack on the ride(WTF and WHY) and an SRQ(Interesting)

First up, there are a bunch of new signs obviously, with a brand new logo too

There's cool looking themeing too, nice to see Thorpe put in some decent effort for its return

The New Sign for the SRQ, Not sure why they bothered putting in an SRQ to be honest, but I guess it will be handy getting quick rides on it during the summer

They have even put in a New Photo Booth for the ride(YES you can get photos on it now) and again "WHY" what is the biggest memory people will want to take away with them during the day, A Picture on NI,Colossus or Stealth or the Flying Fish, hardly a no brainer to be honest.

The Flying Fish has been relocated behind and to the side of the Wet Wet Slides, and off to the right hand side of Tidal Wave, they had to fill in some of the lake to actually fit the ride in too. So here we finally see the New Fish in action

Certaintly its in new position, You can get some much better unrestricted photos of it in action like this. Its old position was awful in that you could hardly get any decent photos of it in action at all

Another change is that the train is now a nice pretty orange colour, errrrr lovely. Would have prefered for them to keep the old look train as I dont like it orange, way too bright, way too pretty, It just looked a bit too horrible if I'm really being honest

Go Fish Go

The Fish and Stealth together,Its a good view here watching both coasters in action

They have kept one orginal feature with the bridge over the station which is nice to see, just a shame they couldnt keep any others, like the Bush choppers for example, that was so great on the orginal fish, that will be very missed

So whats the New Fish like to ride. Well I didnt think it was great to be honest, Its a lot slower than the orginal, and it just didnt seem to have any kind of fun factor anymore which is a shame

I think Thorpe have just overkilled it too much, slowing it down, a horrible new train, no bushes, and fasttrack on the ride(this will get crazy queues in the summer)

Oh well, maybe I will grow to love the new fish in time, but it might take a while. thankfully there was no queues on the day I was here, but I'm worried about the queues that will generate in the summer and Fright Nites now because of Fasttrack

The Fish Flys around the Helix

I will be honest, I didnt see many others come of the Fish with excitement on their faces, I will be curious to see if this becomes a hit at Thorpe again, obviously it was loved by so many people first time around, but will it happen again I wonder

The Fish thunders through the station

One Final Shot of the Fish before we look around the rest of the park

OMG111111 Its early 2009 Coaster Construction

Well at least thats what we assume, and land filling was rumoured to happen to prepare for construction for the next new coaster so could this be it??

At present, we hear that Loggers will close down at the end of the 2007 season and close for a year to be rerouted so construction can happen on the new coaster, but dont panic, Loggers will then reopen in 2009 along with the new ride
