Six Flags World of Adventures Report

This was a park I was orginally not going to re-visit when I went back to Ohio, However because PKI was closed on Fridays, I decided to visit SFWOA on the Friday night and spent all day at CP on Saturday and Sunday, However if PKI had been open on Fridays, I would have certaintly visited there instead, and my orginal schedule actually had me going to CP on Friday and Saturday and PKI on Sunday but because everyone had said that Sundays were fairly empty at CP, I decided to change my schedule around. I also felt that I didnt want to get up early Sunday, Spend 4hrs getting down to PKI when I would be at CP till Midnight as I would only arrive knackered at the park.

Now the reason I didnt want go back to SFWOA is because I had a bad experience last time I went there. One Train operations on many coasters(And this was on a Friday and Saturday which were very busy days),Hardly Any ticket Booths and entrance gates which lead to a huge scramble trying to get in, 30 min queues for food, and to top it all off they ran out of Ice Cream at one stand and I was told to go to another one which had a huge queue(Did I mention it reached 80 degrees on both days)

But lets try to put that in the past, That was 2 and a half years ago now so surely things must have improved slighty, and I would even get a new coaster credit in the form of Mind Eraser(The boomerang) as this was closed also last time.

Anyway I arrived at 6PM to a very empty car park, already a promising sign of an empty park so hopefully I should get rides in on all coasters during this trip. Got quite a shock when I arrived to pay as they charged me $39.99(Just over $40 with Tax) personally I think its discusting they are charging full day tickets for a Friday night(6PM to Midnight) when you could have come Saturday or Sunday when the whole park Plus SeaWorld would be open for the same price. What makes it worse is that CP are actually sensible and charge $24.99 for Friday Nights, so this is very cheeky from Six Flags, Not a good start to the day, Its even worse when you learn that Six Flags charge for their Haunted Mazes(Another $9.99) when CP Include them in their overall price, Again its very cheeky from Six Flags, Needless to say I did not pay extra for the Mazes as otherwise this would cost me over $50 to visit the park for 6hrs. I guess the only pleasure I got out of today was that there was indeed no crowds whatsoever(Definatly more pleasent crowds than on my last trip) and I got to ride all the coasters which were walk ons with the exception of Batman Knight Flight which had about 15 min queues and because there was no queues, I got to do everything I wanted to go so quick, I left early at around 10.30PM

X FLIGHT - 1 Train Operation. This is a great coaster that has some good flying time and is better than Stealth IMO. I love the Loop which is quite intense at the back, and the helix at the end is good. 1 Ride Walk On

MIND ERASER - I didnt ride this last time, and quite frankly I didnt miss much. Granted it didnt actually feel as worse as some Boomerangs but it was still bad and rough in places. You have to ask if Six Flags bother to do any maintenance on their rides here. Just One Ride, Walk on

SUPERMAN ULTIMATE ESCAPE - I do love a good impulse, however it never felt as powerful as when I had ridden it before, Was certaintly good at the back and front though. 3 Rides all Walk Ons

BIG DIPPER - 1 Train Operation. What has happened to this ride, It was a great little woodie but this time, it was beating the crap out of me, seemed Incredibly rough and the airtime now felt painful, not a pleasent experience. 1 Ride, walk on.

SERIAL THRILLER - 1 Train Operation. Thought I might as well take one ride on this at least, and it actually didnt turn out to be a bad experience, I rode in the front and I dont know it was a fluke but It didnt feel rough at all. I then took another ride to see if it was indeed a fluke and unfortnutly it was, This time I felt a lot more roughness, especially in the butterfly element and the corks so if anyone wants to have a good ride on this, Try it at the front on the right hand seat. 2 Rides both Walk Ons.

BATMAN KNIGHT FLIGHT - 1 Train Operation. This was the coaster I was looking forward too the most, However out of all the coasters I wanted to ride the most, this coaster had a bloody queue(OK OK so it was only about 15 mins each time but it still annoyed me) Anyway dont know what Six Flags did to this coaster tonight but it was literally on Steroids as it was flying round the track at a much faster than normal speed(I'm not joking, this ride was really flying round the track) I rode the front once and came back frozen because of the freezing weather. Anyway I still love this ride, The Drop is great and the turn after the loop is still insane, I also love the turn over the station as well as the cobra roll and interlocking corks, Great Ride. 3 Rides, 15 mins wait for each of them.

RAGING WOLF BOBS - 1 Train Operation I loved this coaster the last time I came, However now it seems to have gotten worse, It felt a bit rougher than normal although the second half still seemed very smooth. Still Not too bad I guess. 1 Ride, Walk on

ROADRUNNER EXPRESS - Gotta love these little rides, was great tonight as the lady ride op speeded the train up to a little faster than normal and BOY could you notice it especially in the back, 2 laps as well as always, Great Fun. 1 Ride, Walk on

DOUBLE LOOP - 1 Train Operation. One of the smoother Arrow Coasters, and still very smooth. Very nice drop and 2 loops in a row followed by a nice little helix, All good fun, just a shame its too short. 1 Ride, Walk on

VILLIAN - 1 Train Operation. the best woodie of the 3 at the park, this one is stunning, and again the park must have fed the ride steroids as It was running insanely fast. However the ride still felt very smooth in parts and it was amazingly fast and out of control. A Wicked Experience. 2 Rides Walk Ons.

The Coasters are all I wanted to do at the park so didnt bother with anything else. However although I had a good time riding the coasters with no queues. It still never felt a good night. For starters the park was literlly empty which meant there was no atmosphere(Prehaps others couldnt be bothered to pay the huge amount of money to visit for just a few short hrs) and it didnt help by the fact that the weather was freezing(Probably another factor) I know the park cant help the weather but it did ruin the experience at the park, I had 4 layers of clothes on yet I was still freezing.

Also the park had a lot of live actors going round the park scareing people etc which was good to see but sadly some of the actors were ruining the whole experience of this. For example Some of them were excellent at their jobs and scaring people well while other live Actors just walked around not bothering to scare people at all.

All in All It was a fairly good night, but I still came out disapointed, I thought I could give this park another chance after my bad experience the last time but I think I can safely say I dont think I will ever visit here again which is a shame as I do still do have a small liking for the park and its rides, but its the way the park is operated and how much they charge which still made this visit bad, oh and guess what, The Ride Ops were just as bad because if you asked them if you could stay on the rides, they wouldnt let you and act all rude saying you would have to go round again, Hadnt they heard of commen Sense.<

After I left the park, it was back to Sandusky to the Radisson Inn. We got back late around 12.30AM but Cedar Point didnt open till 12PM lunchtime anyway(11AM for Hotels Guests, 11.30AM for Public guests,12PM Offical openings of all rides) so at least we could have a fairy decent lie in before experiening 13hrs at the point on Saturday so I couldnt wait for that.

Pictures from SFWOA follow below with also a few pictures of the Hotel I stayed at. Incidently I could only get a few limited pictures of SFWOA because although it was still quite light out when I arrived, It soon got very dark so it was impossible to take good pictures. The Cedar Point Pictures Update will make up for it though I assure you as there will be over 100 Pictures, My biggest update ever ;)
