Alton Towers have been busy again this season giving Merrie England a makeover, and putting in a new ride, Splash Galleons

Welcome to Mutiny Bay, the new area replaceing Merrie England

Splash Galleons is the new ride, Its replaced the Splash Karts that previously replaced the Swans

And here is the new ride from a distance, It looks pretty impressive

I think Alton have done a good job, themeing is very good indeed in parts

Bravo to Alton for getting the ride ready on time though, I came less than a month ago prior to ride opening in the Half Term event, and it looked far from ready

Some Themeing

A look at more themeing and the boats, You've got guns to shoot at people at various points and targets

It could have been just a few opening day problems, but some of the targets to shoot at didnt work, or some just went off randomly, was a little annoying as you knew you hit them, but they didnt work

Also some of the targets seemed too far away to shoot which also seemed weird, as hard as I tryed, I couldnt manage it
